Our 35 Grade 12 learners from across our four specialized programs have demonstrated that disabilities are not barriers to academic success. This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication of our learners, the expertise of our teaching staff, and the unwavering support of families and the community.
Program-Specific Achievements:
- Deaf Learners Program: 12 learners achieved passes, with 6 obtaining bachelor's passes. Special recognition for excellence in Sign Language and Mathematics.
- Blind Learners Program: 8 learners passed, with 4 achieving bachelor's passes. Outstanding performance in Braille Mathematics and Life Sciences.
- Autism Program: 7 learners successfully completed their NSC, with 3 obtaining bachelor's passes, showcasing remarkable progress in communication and academic skills.
- Intellectual Barriers Program: 8 learners achieved passes, with 2 obtaining bachelor's passes, demonstrating the effectiveness of our individualized learning approaches.
A Legacy of Excellence
This marks the 14th consecutive year (2011-2024) that Thiboloha Special School has achieved a 100% National Senior Certificate pass rate. This consistent track record places us among the top-performing schools in the Free State province and establishes us as a leader in special needs education across South Africa.

Looking to the Future
Our graduates are now pursuing various pathways:
- 12 learners have been accepted into universities across South Africa
- 15 are enrolling in technical and vocational education programs
- 8 are entering the workforce with specialized skills training
Among our notable achievers is Nomsa Dlamini from our Deaf Learners Program, who obtained 5 distinctions and has been accepted to study Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. Another standout is Thabo Mthembu from our Intellectual Barriers Program, who will be pursuing a diploma in Hospitality Management.
